Project Management Services
Fabcon can provide project teams with the experience to establish and perform project control. Deliverables will be systems and procedures for control, communication, monitoring, and management reporting. Some of the elements can be summarized as follows:

Management Guidelines and Procedures
This will include the general management principles and organisation structure - normally presented as part of the project execution plan. Supporting this we will develop the project procedures required to ensure adequate definition of work principles, authority levels, and interfaces.

Quality Assurance
Fabcon will provide quality assurance guidelines and procedures that will form the basis for a total quality management system. Monitoring and regular audits of contractor systems and work-practises improves communication and allows early detection of quality deficiencies. Early implementation of corrective action can provide significant cost savings.

Cost Control/Estimating/Change Control
Our engineers and management consultants have in-depth experience and knowledge in establishing and executing cost control systems and estimating. Supporting our personnel knowledge and experience are the methods and computer systems developed by Fabcon that allow for an immediate start without development. Early identification and administration of contractual changes is a focal point in our working method.
We have provided estimating consulting in the offshore and floating production environment for many clients and in-depth knowledge and experience in this area.

Planning
The planning function represents an important element in the execution of a capital investment project. Over time, our engineers have developed extensive knowledge that focuses on the basic criteria for success in management and planning.

Risk
We can provide our customers with cost and schedule risk analysis, normally performed on the control estimate and the control schedule. Our experience is that the process of performing the risk analysis is as important as the analysis results. The open communication will generate awareness of areas with potential cost and schedule overruns. This awareness will form the basis for a risk management program that focuses on reducing the identified risks. The management response may include development of contingency plans, transfer of risk to contractors, preventive measures, or any other action deemed necessary.

Document Administration
Fabcon has expertise and experience in developing and supervising the implementation and execution of document control systems at all levels of complexity.  The scope may range form simply tracking the systems requirements for contractors and suppliers to a full-scale document control system that can handle engineering documents, changes and queries. The operator’s documentation handover requirements are important elements that need to be addressed early in the execution phase.
