Job Description:
Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide engineering technical leadership and expertise
- Review, evaluate, and advise:
- Specifications and drawings
- Compliance with design methods and safety factors to be used in design of project. Reviews completed
detail design for correctness, compliance, and operability
- Operability of the unit or plant for start up, normal, turndown, and shutdown modes. Reviews or sets
design
basis for abnormal operating conditions
- Steward/Manage the detail design contractor's activities with respect to engineering and design including:
- Development of detailed schematics and protection one-line diagrams
- Development of the schedule, recommended deliverables, and labor hour estimate
- Measurement and reporting of engineering progress
- Selection and specification of equipment and components
- Procurement of items including preparation of minor specifications
- Provide clarifications and intrepretations of the specifications prepared in FEED
- Manage HAZOP reviews
Qualifications:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES:
• Thorough and extensive knowledge of:
- Engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Applicable codes, standards, and trade practices
• Thorough knowledge and expert judgment in the selection and application of equipment and
hardware
• 15+ years of closely related practical engineering experience, 5+ years of which should be at the
Senior Manager level
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities, while acting within a
team environment.
• WINPCS software management experience required.
