Job Description:
Drilling Engineering position that reports to Engineering Manager or Engineering Supervisor and works closely with Operations Superintendents and other operations personnel to implement the best available technology in drilling and completion operations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Long lead planning – identify and secure long lead equipment (interface with logistics) and prepare purchase requisitions. Interface with vendors and service providers to ensure equipment and services are provided in a timely manner.
- Evaluate new technologies for cost-effective application.
- Perform studies and analysis to enhance optimization.
- Perform well and casing designs.
- Prepare detailed procedures and drilling programs.
- Work with Operations personnel to ensure safety, health, environment and controls are addressed in the design and implementation of drillilng and completion operations.
- Provide rig site support as required.
- Interface with internal functions and external regulatory agencies. Assist with government regulatory requirements, approvals and permits.
- Participate in rig calls and other regularly scheduled meetings.

• B. S. Engineering
Skills:
• Planning, arctic and remote operations.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required to work with management that is not collocated
with position.
• Strong computer skills.
Experience:
• Drilling Engineering experience in an arctic environment is desired.
• Arctic well design and operations experience is desired so that candidate can
contribute immediately.
